Here's the final cut

Update: editing is going good so far, its very tedious though to review and cut down footage when you are not even sure how you want to put things together in the end. If I had more time I'm sure it would better, but I think its going to turn out alright.

I think I'm going to throw a few still images in the final project as well because I really want to include some of the landscape in Utah. Really the hardest part of all this is making it a cohesive piece; a lot harder than I thought it was going to be, but i should be able to put something good together.

Just a little update on whats be going on with the project. I don't like the footage that I am getting when filming wakeboarding because it is too limited. I can only get good footage when I am filming from the back of a boat and it just limiting me too much so I think i am going to just limit my project to just exploring climbing.

I went to Red River Gorge over memorial day weekend and got a lot of great footage; almost an hour's worth, and I also got two interviews from some friendly rndom climbers that I might use. This week I am going to finish up the filming portion of my project by interviewing my roomate John, who is president of the Mountaineer's Club here at OSU, and also filming a couple of bouldering sessions at JOS and the ARC, that should just about do it so that I can start really editing and putting the project together over the weekend.

Interviews to do this week definitely includes my roommate Erick who is on the club team and my friend John. Erick has been wakeboarding since he was 9 and John just got into it like a year ago so I think it will be cool to get two different perspectives like that.
Got some footage of OSU Waterski Club's annual competition the weekend of May 1st. I was a little bummed because last Friday, the night before the competition was kind of nasty. It was raining really hard off and on all night, but people were still hitting the slider (ramp) we put in the pond and landing some pretty sick tricks, however I didn't want to risk getting the camera wet so I didn't film any of it. I did get some footage of the all the wakeboarders in their element later that night, but i don't think i'm going to be able to use any of it.

Saturday was sunny and the comp was a real success. Red Bull's photographers were the only ones allowed on the boats towing the competitors so i had to film from the shore. The footage was ok, and I should be able to use some of it, but i would have liked to have been on the boat. I tried to get interviews from JD Webb and Adam Errington, (two pro wakeboarders), but they were busy the whole time. Ahh well, should get better oppurtunities as the weeks go by and the weather gets better. If the weather continues to suck though it's gonna be hard to get good footage.
